Introduction

Soochow University's School of Business was founded in 1968 and has continued to expand and develop under the exceptional leadership of its nine prior deans. Professor Fu, Tsu-Tan, the current dean, took office in 2016. Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, International Business, Financial Engineering and Actuarial Mathematics, and Computer and Information Management are the current six departments. Additionally, a business undergraduate program is available for individuals who are currently employed, as are four interdisciplinary undergraduate programs (Financial Technology, Finance, Program of International Trade and Management, and International Program of Finance and Economics) for general undergraduate students. Each of the six departments offers undergraduate, master's, and executive MBA degrees. The Economics Department offers doctoral program. Additionally, the School of Business established the Center for Business Research and Development, the Center for Innovation and Incubation, the Franklin FinTech Center at Soochow University, and the Yunus Social Business Center at Soochow University to facilitate the integration of academic theory and industry practices. The School of Business launched the EMBA (Executive Master of Business Administration) program in 2007 with the goal of developing globally focused business executives. Additionally, in 2008, the Global Business Program, which is totally taught in English, was founded successfully.

The institution employs about 130 full-time and 200 part-time instructors. Currently, the school has about 5,000 students enrolled and over 60,000 graduates. The majority of alumni are currently employed in industrial and business areas, where they are able to  apply the education they received at Soochow University  while obtaining global recognition and acclaim.

In February 2017, AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) certified the School of Business, recognizing its unmatched educational excellence and research accomplishments.

Because the School of Business is located directly on the major arteries of Taipei's cultural, political, educational, and economic centers, it has a distinct advantage when recruiting industry experts and executives from prestigious universities or institutes to serve as instructors, allowing students to learn from some of the world's leading experts in their fields.
